Nottingham is a great night out and it is not too far from Manchester, so why not book a Manchester minibus and take a trip down there for a night to remember.
Theatre Square is Nottingham’s main entertainment district and it is here where a large number of the pubs, clubs, and cultural venues are located. Everything is packed fairly closely, so you won’t have to stagger too far between bars and clubs which is pretty handy if you end up drinking way too many tequila shots.
Nightclubs in this area include Halo, Flares, Jumpin Jaks, Reflex, and Gatecrasher. There is also Oceana on Parliament Street. Other clubs in the city include Stealth, the Rescue Rooms, the Bodega, and The Maze. Music covers all tastes imaginable. Rock City is Nottingham’s big rock and metal venue. If heavy metal and guys in leather is your thing, you will be right at home there.
The Old Market Square section of Nottingham has its own selection of clubs and pubs. Here you will find Flirtz Lap Dancing club, Arriba Club, Kudos, and Cookie Club.
There is a thriving gay and lesbian scene in Nottingham and many of the venues are in or around the Hockley area of the city.
You will find a huge selection of pubs and bars throughout Nottingham, including some of the main chains including Slug & Lettuce and Murphy’s Bar. For a more historical drinking tavern, Nottingham has three of the oldest establishments in the country. Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem has cave cellars and roaming ghosts, and is carved into solid rock beneath Nottingham Castle it dates back to the Crusades. Ye Olde Salutation Inn was established in 1240 AD, and the Grade II listed Bell Inn dates back to 1437. These real ale pubs are most definitely worth a visit if only to see if the ghosts are out.
Nottingham’s canal side is the place to go for waterfront drinking. Here you will find a lively selection of traditional pubs brewing their own beer and trendy wine bars in converted warehouses. The only pub in the UK with an internal canal and barge moored inside can also be found here.
For casino entertainment, try Alea Casino on Upper Parliament Street.
