Manchester Airport is the regional airport for the Greater Manchester and surrounding areas and
operates direct flights to over one hundred and ninety destinations around the world. It is the
largest airport in the United Kingdom outside of the London area and handled over seventeen
million passengers last year but can deal with a lot more. In 2008 it handled over 21 million people’s
flights to various destinations around the world.
The airport is about a twenty minute drive from the centre of Manchester
Some of the most popular destinations that people fly to from Manchester Airport are Dublin
Airport, Tenerife South Airport and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
The airport has three large Terminals that each have a designated pick up and drop off point making
things easy for arriving and departing passengers who are waiting on collection by minibus or being
dropped off.
Passengers being driven to the airport are allowed to make use of the drop-off areas situated around
the outside of the airport terminal building but when they arrive to pick up passengers they must
park in the short stay car parks that are provided nearby so sometimes it makes sense to make use
of the convenient service provided by Minibus in Manchester.
In July 2007 the airport had to introduce ‘No Waiting’ restrictions on all of the access roads
surrounding the three airport terminals. This was probably a direct result of the 2007 Glasgow
International Airport attack and so all pick-ups must take place by using the short-stay car parks.
Your minibus will be waiting and ready to collect you as soon as you call the driver and inform
him you are ready for to be collected and he will be aware of any delay due to our use of online
monitoring of your flight arrival time.
While waiting at the airport, the public viewing platforms are a great way to spend time while
waiting to board and go through the gate to departures. There are also plenty of shops, bars and
places to eat throughout the whole airport.
The Aviation Viewing Park of Manchester Airport has a retired Concorde on display in a purpose built
hanger and a former RAF Nimrod airplane. It is also an excellent place to watch planes take off and
land and taxi along the runways.
Minibus in Manchester specialise in transfers to and from the airport and it is a service we pride
ourselves on providing because we appreciate the importance of an efficient service to and from
the airport. No one wants to miss their flight because the pre-arranged travel did not turn up at the
appointed time.
